Flat-rate pricing
What a locksmith costs in Orlando, and why ours is one number
You get the whole price on the phone before a technician is dispatched, and it is the price you pay unless the job itself turns out to be different. Below is what sets the price for each service, so the quote makes sense when you hear it.

Price guide
What moves the price for each job
Call with your make and model or the type of lock and the dispatcher turns this into one exact figure.
| Service | Flat rate | What sets the price |
|---|---|---|
| Car lockout | Quoted on the phone | Vehicle type and where it is; a trunk-only job on a car with no interior release takes longer than a door |
| House, condo or apartment lockout | Quoted on the phone | The lock itself; a standard knob or deadbolt opens faster than a high-security cylinder |
| Vacation rental lockout or code reset | Quoted on the phone | Whether it is a guest lockout with authorization, a code change, or a lock that has failed and needs work |
| Business lockout | Quoted on the phone | Door and lock type; aluminum storefront doors and exit devices differ from a standard cylinder |
| Car key replacement, blade key | Quoted on the phone | Edge-cut or laser-cut blade, and whether a key exists to copy or it is all keys lost |
| Car key replacement, transponder key | Quoted on the phone | Chip type and the programming the make requires; all keys lost adds code retrieval |
| Smart key or key fob | Quoted on the phone | OEM or aftermarket fob and the make; a few European makes restrict programming to the dealer |
| Fob reprogramming, battery or shell | Quoted on the phone | Whether the electronics are fine; this is the smaller job and we check for it first |
| Ignition repair or replacement | Quoted on the phone | Whether the key just needs extracting, the cylinder repairing, or the whole ignition replacing |
| Rekey, per cylinder | Quoted on the phone | Number of locks; every door on one visit costs less per lock than a second trip |
| Lock change, per door | Quoted on the phone | Hardware grade you choose; supply your own lock and the parts portion drops |
| Smart lock installation | Quoted on the phone | Whether you supply the lock or we do; getting the door to line up is part of the job |
| Key copies | Quoted on the phone | Standard, high-security or transponder key; fobs are the most involved. Done from the van or at the base by appointment |
| Commercial rekey and master key work | Quoted on the phone | Door count and whether a master system is designed; standing arrangements for property managers |
Prices depend on the exact vehicle or hardware, which is why the dispatcher asks for the make and model or the lock type first. The quote you hear is the whole job: drive, labor and the parts named in the quote.
How to read a locksmith quote
A trustworthy quote has three properties. It is given before anyone drives, it covers the whole job rather than a service call that gets added to, and it only changes if the job changes and you are told first. Everything on this page follows from those three.
The two tricks that cost Orlando visitors the most
The first is the teaser: a very low figure in an ad or a website title that turns out to be the fee for showing up. Orlando has a lot of them, aimed at people in a hotel garage who will never be back to leave a review. The second is the drilling upsell: a standard lockout that suddenly needs the lock destroyed and replaced. Standard residential and automotive locks are picked or bypassed without damage. If you are told otherwise on your driveway or in a parking garage, you are allowed to say no and call someone else.
What we will not do
- Quote a price that excludes the drive or the labor
- Add a night, weekend or holiday surcharge the dispatcher did not mention
- Drill a lock that can be picked
- Make a key or open a door without checking that you are allowed in
- 20-minute average arrival
- Flat-rate prices, quoted before we drive
- Insured and bonded technicians
- Serving Florida since 2016
Pricing questions
How much does a locksmith in Orlando cost?
It depends on the job, and you should hear the number before anyone drives. We quote one flat price on the phone for your specific lockout, key or lock. The table on this page shows what moves each price up or down, and the dispatcher turns it into one figure for your job.
Why does the very cheap locksmith in the ad end up costing so much more?
The advertised figure is usually only the fee for showing up. The real job is added on your driveway, often padded with a drilling charge that a standard lock does not need. A flat quote for the whole job avoids that. If a price grows on site without the job changing, you do not have to pay it.
Do locksmiths charge a call out fee?
Some do. Ours is built into the flat price, so there is no separate call-out fee added afterward. The number you hear on the phone includes the drive, the labor and the parts named in the quote.
How much is a locksmith at midnight?
Our dispatch runs 7 am to midnight, every day, and the quote is the same at 11 pm as at 11 am. There is no night surcharge added on site. After midnight we open again at 7.
Is a locksmith more expensive at the theme parks or the airport?
No. The price is set by the job, not the address. A car lockout in a Universal garage or at the airport rental car center is quoted like any other car lockout; the dispatcher only needs the garage and level so the technician finds you.
How do I pay?
Card, cash or contactless on site, and you get an itemized invoice by email with the company name on it.
