We Do Locksmith

Mobile locksmith serving Oviedo

Locksmith in Oviedo, FL

Oviedo is on the northeast side, about 22 miles from our base on 39th Street and around 35 minutes on the 417 to the Red Bug Lake Road exit. We say that number out loud because it is longer than a downtown call. The work here splits between UCF students and the rentals along Alafaya, where a lost key or a lockout after a late class is the norm, and family neighborhoods like Alafaya Woods and Live Oak Reserve, where the calls are rekeys, smart locks and car keys made in the driveway. Chuluota, further east, is served from this page too.

Locksmith notes for Oviedo

UCF sits just over the county line on Alafaya, and a good share of Oviedo calls come from student apartments and rented houses between campus and Oviedo on the Park. Students lock keys in older cars, lose the only fob, or get locked out after midnight and call at 7 when we open. For a rented house, the landlord approves any rekey, and we make that call quickly.

The family neighborhoods are what Oviedo is known for. Alafaya Woods, Kingsbridge and Live Oak Reserve have homes built over the last few decades with standard pin-tumbler locks that rekey easily, and many owners now want a keypad on the front door and the garage entry. Sanctuary and Live Oak Reserve have gates, so the dispatcher asks for your gate details first.

Chuluota and the Black Hammock side of Lake Jesup are further out on two-lane roads and we do not pretend otherwise: add time to the Oviedo window. The upside is that the same flat price applies, and the technician brings enough blanks and fobs to finish a car key or a house rekey in one visit rather than driving back.

Neighborhoods and communities we cover

Reviews

From Orlando customers

  • Hussein is the best. Locked the key of a McLaren 720 in the frunk; he managed to open the door and then pop the frunk a little with some tools and grab the key. Saved absolutely everything, and it only took him 20 minutes to arrive on the scene.

  • Noah helped me get a new key fob for my 2025 Honda Civic after I lost my keys in a different state. After finding my lost keys he reprogrammed the old ones too, for free. Would recommend this mobile locksmith.

  • Noah was awesome. My key fob stopped working and he came right away. It was pouring rain and he came swiftly to replace my key. Very kind, professional and very fast. I would choose this company every single time.

Oviedo questions

How long does it take you to get to Oviedo from south Orlando?

About 35 minutes on the 417 from 39th Street on a normal day, and closer to 45 for Chuluota. The dispatcher tells you the real window when you call, including afternoon storms, and the flat price covers the drive.

Can you make a car key near UCF for a student who lost the only one?

Yes. The technician comes to the apartment lot or the campus garage and cuts and programs the key from the van. The student needs photo ID and the registration or insurance card, or a parent can send a photo of it.

Do you cover Chuluota?

We do, from this page. Chuluota is east of Oviedo on two-lane roads, so expect the longer end of the window, but the price is the same flat figure quoted on the phone and nothing is added for the distance.

Locked out in Oviedo?

Tell us where you are and what you drive or which door it is. You get a flat price on the phone and a technician in a marked We Do Locksmith vehicle.
